Dr. Keith H. Taylor received his Bachelor of Science Degree (summa cum laude) from Lane College in Jackson, Tennessee, and went on to obtain his dental degree with Honors from The University of Tennessee Health Sciences Center in 2000. Dr. Taylor completed an internship in oral and maxillofacial surgery at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in 2001. He was a resident in oral and maxillofacial surgery at King-Drew Medical Center (now Harbor-UCLA) in Los Angeles from 2001 – 2005. While in residency, he was awarded the prestigious honor of “Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Resident of the Year.” Simultaneously, while completing his residency, he earned a master of Public Health Degree in Health Care Administration from U.C.L.A.
He is Board Certified in Anesthesiology and also a Diplomate of the National Dental Board of Anesthesiology, as well as, a Fellow in the American Dental Society of Anesthesiology. He holds memberships in the American Dental Association, Tennessee Dental Association 7th District, and the American Association of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeons. Dr. Taylor specializes in dental implant placement, wisdom teeth removal, facial trauma with reconstruction, dentoalveolar surgery, and general anesthesia. He is an active member of the Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, the 100 Black Men of West Tennessee, the Lane College Board of Trustees, the TennCare Dental Advisory Board, the DentaQuest Peer Review Committee, and The Jackson Area Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. He is married to Frankie and the proud father of two sons: Xander Harrison and Karter Harrison Taylor.
